linux already has python on it. Depending on the distro, it will have python2.x or python3.x as default. If you have linux, you have python (a version). Assuming you are not installing a fresh version of Arch or something.

All you do is is run the .msi and it installs. Python on windows normally comes with an IDE called IDLE. If you want a different IDE you can download and use that instead. Of course you do not need an IDE at all, you can run it from windows command prompt too. Once installed though you can tweak
