Running Idlex

Postby HippyRunner » Fri Jun 20, 2014 4:17 am

I am new to Python & new to this forum as well. I just downloaded Python recently & was watching a tutorial on YouTube & it talked about the deficiencies of Idle. So, I was researching IDEs & decided to download Idlex. Instructions stated to unzip the file, then run it. I am pretty sure I unzipped, but I am not sure it is running, as I do not know what Idle was suppose to look like before & after Idlex is running. Any help would be appreciated, as I want to get to the coding! Thanks, in advance.

I've never used IDLEX so I can't comment on that. What OS are you using though?

Try one of the more popular ide's, your less likely to have problems and more likely to find someone that can answer problems if you do get any.

To use IdleX, you unzip the folder and then run idlex.py.

I can't remember exactly where idlex.py is in the folder.
Proverbs 26:14 describes me a bit too well.
