CD ripping in Python on Windows 7

Postby Pyderman » Sat May 25, 2013 5:26 am

I've been trying to solve this problem for a long time…

I can't find a solution for simple CD ripping (tracks to mp3 or wav) using Python on Windows 7 (no CYGWIN) - either directly in Python or using a subprocess.

Yes, there are solutions for Linux.

Good old PyMedia doesn't seem to want to install correctly…
Windows Media Player 11 has command line control… but not Windows Media Player 12 (installed with Win 7)
CueTools Console ripper only seems to want to rip the CD as one giant track
PyGame doesn't appear to have ripping capability

Definitely keen to here how to do it!
