tkinter tkMessageBox close programatically

Postby manuel » Tue Nov 26, 2013 11:07 am

I have a tkMessageBox poping up on an event,

I need to dismiss this messageBox when the user clicks ok or cancel which is working ok

but now I need to dismiss the messageBox programatically as well

is there a method to dismiss the pop up?

here the code to open the pop up

Code: Select all
 def showPopUp(self):

    result = tkMessageBox.askokcancel(title="", message="Help Request Submitted \nFirst floor")
    if result is True:
        print ("User clicked Ok")
        print ("User clicked Cancel")

so how to make it a property, and close it programatically?
