How to access a serial port on Mac

Postby bdmpython » Sat Dec 28, 2013 7:37 pm

I'm new to Python.
I want to write a test script that shows ASCII data received from a Bluetooth device.
The Bluetooth device is paired with the Mac and has created a serial port named "RNBT-74C9-RNI-SPP"
I can access the data with a terminal program "CoolTerm".
How would I access this serial port with Python?
What would the INPUT statement look like?

Hi welcome to the forum.
Please read the 'new users, read this' link in my signature.

You can try pyserial. Not sure though regarding a mac.
