Getting program to work after updating to Mountain Lion OS

Postby photolord » Tue Apr 30, 2013 10:41 pm

I have a python program that was made for MAC Snow Leopard OS. It doesn't work now that I upgraded to Mountain Lion OS. Does anyone know what I need to do to make it work?

We have no idea what "doesn't work" means here. Read this.

The program is built on python and operates on Snow Leopard OS. But since I upgraded to Mountain OS the python program does not work. I'm not sure if it's a case of not being compatible with a different version OS, python, looking for something in a different directory than when it was utilized on the older OS. I had someone custom create the program for me on freelancer.com so I guess I'll back there and pay someone to fix it. Thanks for the help anyway.

If you explained what the actual error you were receiving was, someone might be able to help you. As said, "the python program does not work," is not an accurate description of the problem. We need information like what error message you receive, what version of python are you using, and if possible the code that is actually causing the problem, etc. If you don't provide these details all you will receive if anything will be blind guesses.

Have you confirmed that python is working on the machine at all? Can you open an interactive interpreter session?
