Postby Marleb » Mon Aug 05, 2013 10:10 am

i want to read a csv.file but i get a syntax error in plt.show(). Why?

Code: Select all
import matplotlib as mpl
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
import numpy as np
from numpy import genfromtxt

data = np.genfromtxt('P:\400\440\Projektideen\user_ideen\Lebida\Example.csv', dtype('f8'), delimiter=',')

fig = plt.figure()

ax1.plot(float(data['0']), float(data['1']), color='r', label='the data'

plt.show()

Read this before posting again.
It explains how to post properly.

Your problem is a missing parenthesis on the previous line.

Also, why title this "csv reading"?
Your problem obviously has nothing to do with that.
