How to Run a Python Script from a Differnent Directory

Postby Nbiser » Tue Apr 01, 2014 11:09 pm

Hi all!

I'm fairly new at python programming. However, I do know a fair amount about Linux and computers in general. I am currently using ubuntu 12.10. So, down to business. I have started learning python, and created a seperate directory branching from home to put all of my scripts in. Running the interactive prompt in the terminal after doing a cd into my python directory I'm able to import my scripts OK :D . However, when I use IDLE, it can't find my scripts, and I have no idea on how to change directories in IDLE  . Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks!
