Which GUI Library to use

Postby craigbert » Fri Jan 10, 2014 9:05 pm

Hello All,

I am new to python and I am not at all sure where to start. I have gone through several tutorials on strings, arrays, lists, dictionaries, etc. So I feel like I have *some* knowledge of the basics.
A lot of what I do involves writing business applications on Windows. So the question is: for writing Windows business desktop applications which GUI library/toolkit is the best or better choice. I don't have a clue where to even begin to look so any input you guys have would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your time!

Craig

Hi welcome to the forum.
Please read the 'new users, read this' link in my signature

This question has been asked numerous times here a link to one of them: new to Python, need GUI advice

Yoriz in topic new to Python, need GUI advice wrote:I dont think you are going to find someone else that has tested them all and can tell you which one is best for you either.
A lot of them can probably deal with your requirements listed.
It depends on what version of python your using and what type of GUI application you want to make and then it also comes down to personal preference.
Most replys to gui advice will just be someones personal preferance.

This is a list of the most popular ones (which is just my opinion not fact) for you to start looking at.

Thanks for the link to the topic Yoriz. I was pretty sure that this was a "hot" topic.
Do any of those have any kind of RAD tool built on top of them or are there none?

Thanks,

Craig Boyd
